Zoo Cleans Up With Shackamaxon Clients: 3% Donation to Charity or
Foundation of Clients' Choice
For last year - 1995 - our clients
have returned their donation requests - to the extent of $11,315 to
47 designated charities and foundations. The notices of donation
have been sent out and the calls from the recipients have started to
come in "Where did this come from, I don't recall this business
donating to us before!"
The Zoo will have had the biggest
surprise with 38 clients donating $2460 of food services. What they
don't know is that this sum is on top of our own once a year
donation of finger food for 700 to the Zoo's own fund-raiser - The
Zoobilee, which this last year was a horn blowing success with over
2000 guests attending.
The Fox Chase Cancer Center came in
second in our clients' choice with 12 donations totaling $564, while
a single donation of $1434 went to the Hillside School in Macungie,
Pa.
The students of Curtis Institute sent
their donation to "Day Without Art" , while Dechert Price and Rhoads
went furthest afield with a donation to The Village of Hope in Da
Nang, Vietnam.
In addition to our client donation
program, we, at Shackamaxon, have donated $16,500 worth of food
services this year to museums, arts organizations, Aids charities
and preservation
groups. |
