The DuPont Country Club and Brantwyn -- an historic Georgian mansion on Club property -- offer two settings for weddings, receptions and rehearsal dinners, as well as parties of any kind. Located in northern Delaware and just minutes from I-95, the two facilities are easily accessible to guests from Philadelphia and the entire Delaware Valley, southern New Jersey, Baltimore and other areas in Maryland, and Delaware. You will receive personalized service from your first meeting with our bridal specialists through the end of your reception. Our bridal specialists, Joan Snyder and Diana Ryan, will attend to all of your needs. A wide variety of menus are available with cuisine choices from American to gourmet. We offer complete flexibility in planning your affair. Our executive chef will prepare theme menus, if desired, and our staff will honor special requests. The DuPont Country Club

Many of the rooms in the Club afford a magnificent view of the beautifully landscaped golf courses. Available are two magnificent ballrooms, eight banquet room and a tented outside terrace. These rooms are unsurpassed in elegance, with exceptional cuisine and an experienced staff to assure an atmosphere both refined and relaxed. The Crystal Ballroom, adorned with beautiful tiered chandeliers, has an ambiance that will enhance the elegance of your wedding reception and make your day one you'll remember forever. The glass-enclosed Terrace is available for cocktails before your main event begins, while the canopied Lower Terrace is ideal for outdoor weddings and ceremonies.

The Crystal Ballroom can accommodate up to 300 people for formal dining and up to 500 for a gourmet cocktail reception.

Brantwyn

A former du Pont family residence, Brantwyn is a marvel of Georgian elegance in the wooded countryside of the Brandywine Valley. Built in 1940, many of the details of Bois-des-Fosses, the du Pont estate in Chevannes, France, were lovingly recreated at Brantwyn. In 1990, the estate was purchased by The DuPont Country Club, meticulously restored and decorated with the guidance of the Winterthur Museum. Brantwyn's rooms are richly appointed with tasteful furnishings, which lend them a refined, yet relaxed, ambiance and makes them ideal for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, business meetings and family celebrations. The magnificence of the rooms is accented by the exquisitely manicured 60-acre garden which offers a breath-taking backdrop for photographs in every season. In the springtime, the wide, emerald lawns are perfect for afternoon weddings. On summer evenings, the gardens are filled with the delightful fragrance of flowers and cooled by a magnificent fountain. Brantywn can accommodate up to 150 guests for formal dining and up to 200 for a cocktail and hors d'oeuvre reception.
