University of the Arts

Lights, Camera, Action!

...not an uncommon scene on the Avenue of the Arts, the bustling center of Philadelphia¹s cultural attractions.

For over 125 years, The University of the Arts has stood as a beacon for education in the arts, growing from its landmarked building at the corner of Broad and Pine Streets to several venues six blocks along the Avenue of the Arts.

Throughout our history, countless students have graduated from this institution to make their unique marks on the world. Celebrate your event in one of our exceptional facilities, where the spirit of all the arts will enhance your reception, ceremony, lecture or meeting.

With the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the Wilma Theater and the Academy of Music as neighbors, The University resides in one of the prime locales in the heart of the city. Surrounded by theaters, galleries, hotels, restaurants, and shops; patrons and visitors are drawn to our popular Center City location.

Featured on the cover is Solmssen Court, our most popular venue, that contains almost 3,000 square feet. Located inside Dorrance Hamilton Hall, Solmssen Court¹s glass atrium offers natural light during the day and beautiful views of the city¹s night sky. In addition to star gazing, you can also admire distinctive art work by University faculty, students and invited artists exhibited throughout the year inside Hamilton Hall in the Arronson Gallery and lobby.

The University of the Arts is the nation¹s only university embracing all the arts and dedicated exclusively to the arts. Over 2,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in the visual arts and design, performing arts, and media and communication. Our graduates become leaders in over 150 arts and arts-related careers, and contribute their creativity not only to these fields, but also to business and society.

Celebrate your event in our extraordinary venues, where the arts and the spirit of creativity provide a rich and unparalleled environment.
