I just wanted to thank you, Glenn, and the staff of The Lake House Inn again for such a tremendous job you all did for our wedding. We had a blast!!! Everything was absolutely perfect. All of our guests are raving about the Inn and the food. They can't stop talking about how much fun they all had. You're attention to all of our details was superb. We both adore you and Anthia you two are the greatest and cutest. You were terrific to work with. I would love to have our one year anniversary party at the Inn. We need to eat our cake in style.
You were absolutely right...despite the rain it was a very beautiful ceremony. The view was still great! The day and everything about it was top notch thanks to you, the staff, and Jeffery Miller catering. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely, Hilerie Deutsch

We had an amazing experience at The Lake House Inn. The location was breathtaking. All of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. The staff had an abundance of patience and sensitivity, which made this special day a happening we will never forget.

When you hear, "Listen to your mother." We all tend to do the complete opposite, which in the end undoubtedly creates more havoc than needed. This experience impressed upon me that our mothers do know us best and sometimes we should just listen. In September of 2007 my mother and I drove for 2 days straight all over Maryland looking for the perfect wedding location that would accommodate Josh's request of being married by the ocean and my request to be married at an outside venue. Delaware and Pennsylvania did not seem to have as much to offer, so off we went driving across the Bay Bridge, through North East, Havre de Grace all the way to Cambridge, as well as, Annapolis. Websites are amazing, because some of the locations looked beautiful and when we arrived to tour the venue, it was hard not to chuckle at what the "ocean view" really was. It proved to be more like a moat with a teensy peak of water way in the distance. And the site came complete with a 1950's diner reception area, fully equipped with pink, plastic booths and cushioned pink chairs. One location took us 2 1/2 hours to get to and before we got out of the car, Josh (who joined us the second day) said, "Absolutely not. We are not getting marred here." That sums up Maryland in a nut shell.
Before we embarked on our wedding site journey my Mom pleaded with me to look at the Lake House. "It's beautiful," she kept saying. "Did you view the website yet?" So, on the last day of our adventure the three of us considered looking at some Delaware and Pennsylvania sites, the Lake House being the final tour stop. And it was the dead end for us, because upon walking through the rustic front door and gazing at maple wood floors, refinished wood bar tops and simple black and white photos we knew this was perfect. The breathtaking views and the many, many other details just sealed the deal as we toured the venue. And when you share some tears with your Mom (and fiancé), you know this is the place to celebrate. The cake topper is that the Lake House is rented for 22 hours and the celebrations last through the night for our friends and family at a late night fire pit and breakfast the next morning. How many times do you have everyone you love in one place at one time? Very rarely and we wanted to extend that as long as possible.

Glenn and Robyn,
This is a long overdue thank you for all that both of you did to make our wedding be truly the most magical day of our lives.
Glenn--thank you for creating the most magnificent, breathtaking, beautiful, perfect, and spectacular venue. I am sure that you must be so proud of your final product. We feel so blessed to have found the LHI, and to be one of your early "customers." I can honestly say that there isn’t a single other event venue in the tri-state area that could possibly touch the beauty and sophisticated style of the LHI. You truly created a masterpiece.
Robyn---thank you for attending to every little detail, for being incredibly supportive, cheerful, and helpful. Your role was crucial to making sure our wedding went smoothly, and we couldn't have been happier. We know how much behind-the-scenes stuff has to happen to have a wedding be a success, and you did a magnificent job with absolutely everything. You are amazing!
We are both incredibly greateful and appreciative of all that you did.
We hope you enjoy looking at these photo highlights from our wedding:

Of course, please feel free to use any of the shots on your website!
Again, thank you a million times over.

For Matt and I, we felt that The Lake House is an event location like no other we would find in the area. Six months later our guests are still talking about how beautiful and unique the location and reception was. It might be a bit of a stretch on certain budgets, but if you can make it work, it is well worth it! Specially if you go visit and fall in love with the location as Matt and I did. Glenn and Kate (owners) are wonderful people. They were just as attentive to Matt and my concerns as Robyn, who is the event planner with Jeffrey Miller catering, was. We wish everyone all the best as the events schedule up.
