Set among 650 acres of rolling meadows and pristine woodlands in Media, Pennsylvania, Tyler Arboretum offers a setting unparalleled for its natural beauty, historic charm, and true romance. Here, Mother Nature's talents set the stage for breathtaking weddings held amid butterfly-filled gardens, towering trees, fields of wildflowers, and centuries-old structures.
Tyler's collections provide exquisite backdrops every season of the year. In spring, the perfume of hundreds of lilacs, magnolias, and rhododendrons fill the air, while the herb-filled Fragrant Garden comes to life in the summer sunshine. By autumn, the turning leaves of centuries-old trees steal the show. The beauty continues into winter with the snow-laden branches of state-champion conifers and hollies.
Within the stone bank barn, circa 1792, a reception room can accomodate gatherings of up to 80 guests. The capacity is increased up to 200 guests when combined with tenting over an adjacent patio, which overlooks a rolling valley of majestic trees and a babbling stream. For larger parties, a freestanding tent can be erected on the Painter Library lawn set among flower-filled beds, or alongside the Fragrant Garden. The porch and lawn of another historic structure, Lachford Hall, circa 1738, are ideal for ceremonies. The Arboretum's many gardens and charming structures offer unlimited backdrops for photography.
Dating back to a 1681 land grant from William Penn, Tyler has remained an oasis of tranquility for centuries. Twenty miles of marked trails encourage visitors to explore one of the oldest and largest arboreta in the United States. This exceptional venue is located only 30 minutes west of Philadelphia in an area offering several charming bed and breakfasts.

Tyler Arboretum and Jeffrey Miller Catering are a perfect combination. On August 10th, we held a Rehearsal Dinner at the Arboretum. The site was magical and the food delicious. Ryane and Dionne were professional and accessable during the planning stage. The night of the party, Captain John took care of all our needs and made the evening flawless. I can't praise the entire staff enough. Many of our guests commented on the wonderful presentaion and taste of the dinner. It was the perfect beginning of a memorable weekend. Hats off to Tyler and Jeffrey Miller Catering!

We had our wedding ceremony at Tyler Arboretum on April 21, 2007. It had been raining the weeks before and we were concerned that the garden we had chosen might get flooded. One thing that made me feel better about this was that Ryan, the party planner for Jeffrey Miller Catering, had us pick choice A, choice B, and choice C gardens--and each one had different tolerances for water!
We got lucky...our A garden was perfectly dry and the magnolia trees were in gorgeous bloom for our day. The ceremony was just flawless. The chairs were right where we had hoped, and the entire scene was just picture-esque. We got so many compliments on how perfect the day was...we are so happy that we had our wedding at Tyler--it was so beautiful. ;)

We could not have picked a more perfect place to have our wedding! From the moment we saw Tyler Arboretum, we knew it was the place we where going to get married. Everything from planning all the details of the wedding to the actual wedding itself was so easy and enjoyable. The wedding planner is always available and so helpful and really does her best to make sure that your wedding is exceptional! Weddings at Tyler Arboretum are catered by the Jeffrey Miller Catering Company, and they do a fantastic job. They let you pick your own menu from a wide range of foods, and they even let you sample it before your event! You can totally personalize everything- your ceremony, the decorations, the table linens... I could not have imagined my wedding to have been as beautiful as it was- everyone did an amazing job setting things up and everything looks so nice and very professional! I would highly suggest having your wedding at the Tyler Arboretum. You can choose where in the Arboretum you would like to be married, and it is impossible to go wrong- no matter what location you choose, it is going to be beautiful. If you have any questions, feel free to email me!
